Hiring Manager(s) Sade Wicker Location Sandy Run - Build & Distribution Category Manufacturing Description Stier Supply Company, an industry leader in the manufacturing and installation of interior and exterior doors for over 76 years, is currently seeking a Mechatronic Maintenance Technician for our South Carolina Distribution Center.
This is a 2nd shift opportuntiy.
Our Mechatronic Maintenance Technician is critical in maintaining accuracy by ensuring jobs are completed on schedule and to correct specifications.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Performs reactive and preventive maintenance on machines and facility Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
Operate shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit.
Able to make some repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components.
Assists in electrical projects and performs minor electrical repairs.
Able to perform some installation tasks unassisted.
Assists in the installation of new plant equipment.
Assists other departments as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a safe and timely manner.
Maintain a workplace that is clean and safe.
Inspects and may assist the work performed by outside contractors.
Performs assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.

Position Requirements Preferred Skill Set:

Basic electrical, construction, and manufacturing equipment knowledge.

Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds.
Broad knowledge of principles in design, operation, and repair of different types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications, and/or a post-secondary/technical degree a plus.
