5K a year Stier Supply Company, an industry leader in the manufacturing and installation of interior and exterior doors for over 76 years, is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Associate for our SC Distribution Center.
Entry-level knowledge of building materials and millwork are a must for this position.
This role is responsible for defining and implementing Stier continuous improvement and quality programs within the SC Distribution Team.
This position will require assessing current processes and developing a continuous improvement culture throughout the DC.
This role will be responsible for creating and leading the necessary supporting organization that evolves to sustain this transformation and is a key participating member of the Stier SCDC continuous improvement team.
Specific Duties:
Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.
Execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools.
Audit process improvements for adherence of standards.
Work to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions such as logistics and supply chain.
Evaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on gains and required effort.
Securing employee commitment (ex:
process managers) for proactive change management.
Identifying intervention priorities and indicators.
Conducting detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues.
Specifying deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicators.
Mapping out in detail the desired situation.
Accurately analyzing options including impact and feasibility.
Specifying obstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvement.
Regularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.
Fabricate & implement small design improvements.
Requirements

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
