Job Summary


The RN Nurse Resident job has the responsibility of attending all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participating in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully completing all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.¬  Works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Nursing Workforce Development Team while refining nursing knowledge and skills.¬  Actively participates in managing clinical situations for which he/she is assigned.¬  All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with the Greenville Health System Compassion Standards, Mission, Vision and Values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity, and teamwork.

Adheres to policy and procedure requirements of the organization including, but not limited to: licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, time and attendance policy, dress code policy, patient confidentiality, infection control, medication administration.¬  Provides care within the scope of the SC Nursing Practice Act.



Supervisory/Management Responsibilities


This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.



Minimum Education


Associate's Degree - Nursing from an accredited program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing. BSN preferred



Minimum Experience


No previous experience required. Candidates with greater than 12 months experience are not eligible.

Other Required Experience


After 7/1/14, all newly hired Acute Care RN's at GHS are required to have a BSN or MSN degree from an accredited institution/program recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education or the S.C. State Board of Nursing.¬  RN's completing the Nurse Residency Program and transitioning to an Acute Care RN job that do not meet this educational requirement at the time of transfer to their new nursing unit, will be required to enroll in a BSN or MSN program within twelve (12) months of their effective transfer date and will be required to obtain a BSN or MSN degree within four (4) years of their initial transfer effective date.¬  Further, employees must demonstrate sufficient progress annually toward obtaining an accredited BSN or MSN degree to remain eligible for employment or may be subject to termination. - REQUIRED

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
